Vacuum Breaker | Drain Solar Pool Panels
Vacuum Breakers are used with solar pool heaters to release the vacuum seal, by allowing air to flow into the system allowing the solar pool panels to drain when the pool pump is turned off.

PRODUCT INFORMATION:
Vacuum Breakers are used with solar pool heaters to release the vacuum seal within the system. It does this by allowing air to flow into the system when the pool pump is turned off allowing the solar pool panels to drain.
Vacuum Breaker Sizes:
• 1.5" Nominal | 1-7/8" Actual O.D. [Use with 1.5" Rubber Couplings]
• 2" Nominal | 2-3/8" Actual O.D. [Use with 2" Rubber Couplings]
Vacuum Breaker Instructions:
Insert the vacuum breaker in place of the upper end cap, tighten with hose clamp. For proper drainage to occur, the feed line must run downhill to the 3-way valve. The 3-way valve must be open or “non-positive seal.” A positive seal may be converted by removing the seal from the diverter or drilling a 3/16” hole in the center of the diverter inside the 3-way valve. You may also leave the “positive seal” 3-way valve open slightly to achieve the same results.
